Solving the Problem
My solution to the problem of traffic and congestion is a combination of several things, some of which you have likely heard of and then one that is more innovative. First off, increasing the usage of public transit such as more accessible busing, enhancing railways and promoting carpooling. The second piece is something I witnessed that is in progress in my home city of Tampa. That being an overhead expressway built in corridors that are most crowded specifically throughout rush hour times of day. This is obviously something that is not possible everywhere but a combination of these things are solutions that would benefit a lot of cities in terms of reducing some of their traffic congestion.

Hi John! Traffic really is a big issue in almost every large city. I know that personally, coming from South Florida, it can take an insane amount of time to get from one place to another. The solutions that you've come up with, especially the overhead expressway, are great and I would love to have access to them to ease the stress traffic creates. Great post!
ReplyDeleteHi John, like I've said in previous posts, a way to solve traffic could be genius and widely used. Increased public transit will help keep cars off of the road, but I feel like, at least on campus, buses cause the traffic with their slow speeds and frequent stops. Utilizing what is built in Tampa could possibly be a great solution!
